Sloth Records Record Store Day 2026 FAQ

When is Record Store Day 2026?
Saturday, April 18th

What are your hours on Record Store Day?
We open at 9am and close at 7pm on April 18th

What time should I line up?
The past few years we have had people line up as early as midnight. As a general rule the lineup starts forming between 5am and 6am but it really depends on the weather, what releases people are after, etc.

When does the lineup end?
We keep a line going as long as the amount of people wanting to get in commands it. We are a relatively small space and do not want to overcrowd our customers or staff by letting 100 people into the store at once and not letting anyone actually shop or look at stock. We try to keep the lines moving and usually by early afternoon they are pretty short and moving quickly.

Can you hold Record Store Day Releases for me?
No, absolutely not. Please do not ask. It is against RSD policy and we will not waver from this regardless of your reason.

Can I purchase multiple copies of the same Record Store release?
No, absolutely not. Please do not ask. We will not waver from this regardless of your reason.

Can I purchase Record Store Day releases over the phone or social media?
No, absolutely not. Please do not ask. We will not waver from this regardless of your reason.

Will you be getting a certain Record Store Day release in stock? How many?
We have no idea what we will be getting, or how many copies, until the day before RSD in most cases. Stock usually ships the week of the event so many things are arriving last minute. Please check our website and social media channels during the evening of Friday, April 17th for a full list of what we have, and on Instagram and Facebook we usually post a video around the same time showing stock previews.

With regards to quantities, our list will denote items that we received 2 or fewer copies of, but as a general rule we will not share exact quantities of titles.

Where can I find the most current list of Record Store Day 2026 releases?
The official RSD USA site is probably your best bet: https://recordstoreday.com/SpecialReleases

Can I call you numerous times during the week of Record Store Day and ask you if you got something in?
Please don’t. In fact, there is a very good chance that we will not be answering our phones starting April 16th through to April 19th. We are a small store, with limited staff, and Record Store Day week is the busiest, most stressful time of year for us. We love you all but sometimes answering phones is just not feasible.

Lastly, we really want this day to be fun and enjoyable for all. Berating staff because we are sold out of a title you wanted, or did not get in stock, or you had to wait in line, will not be tolerated and you will be asked to leave immediately.

if you have any questions relating to anything here, please feel free to email us at slothrecords403 <at> gmail <dot> com and we will do our best to respond as time permits.

Thank you!
